The Flying Needles invites you to pack your bags and join us for a ROAD TRIP to the US’s largest Fiber Festival… the New York Sheep and Wool Festival at Rhinebeck!
As part of The Flying Needles six-year birthday, we’re taking the party on the ROAD! From Oct. 14-17, 2022, we are headed to upper New York for the Sheep & Wool Festival via charter bus. YOU are invited to join us!
We pull out at 7:30 am on Friday, Oct. 14, and return around 5:45 pm on Monday, Oct. 17. You will have two full days at Rhinebeck to peruse all the vendors and take in the sights & sounds. We’ll be staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Poughkeepsie, where breakfasts will be included. The bus will take us all to the festival each day and bring us back to the hotel.
Registration is open now through midnight Sept. 18. There is limited availability, so don’t wait!

Pricing is ALL INCLUSIVE of transportation, lodging, breakfast both Saturday, Sunday and Monday, tickets to enter the Sheep & Wool Festival, & drop-off and pickup at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.

Payment
All tickets must be fully paid by midnight Sept. 18.
If Rhinebeck cancels for any reason, all monies paid toward attending in-person will be refunded. Otherwise, all ticket purchases are non-refundable. (Customer loyalty points cannot be accrued or used for The Flying Needles’ special events.)
Tickets can only be purchased at www.FlyingNeedlesYarn.com. Tickets cannot be purchased in-store.

12:30 to 2:15 pm – Lunch
2:15 pm – Load the Bus

FAQs
What about meals? Breakfast is included with the cost of your ticket for both Saturday, Sunday and Monday mornings. Breakfast will be served from 6 to 8 am on Saturday and Sunday and 5:30 to 7:15 am on Monday. Lunch can be purchased Saturday at the Sheep & Wool Festival, however lines will be long, so eating during off-peak times is encouraged. Dinner Saturday and Sunday also is on your own. There is a cafe in the restaurant with a limited menu. There are restaurants around the hotel, although they are not within walking distance. Delivery or use of Lyft/Uber/Cab is encouraged.
We have it on good authority that if you want great pizza or wings, Giacomo’s can deliver. Their Poughkeepsie phone number is: 845-462-5555.
Can I request to share my room with someone? YES! Just provide your room sharing request at the time you are registering.
Will we be late returning? All travel times are based upon ideal traffic conditions & travelers loading and returning to the bus on time. Any traffic backups or weather conditions can affect arrival and return times.
What if there’s bad weather? Rhinebeck Sheep & Wool Festival occurs rain or shine.
What about lunch on travel days? We will be stopping for lunch on both travel days.
Can I bring snacks? Bringing snacks is encouraged!
What if I have to cancel? Once registered, there are no refunds. However, you can transfer your trip to another person (any monetary transactions are your responsibility). All we need is their registration information.
What do I need to register? Everyone must submit a registration form, which includes you providing Emergency Contact information. Should anything happen to you on this trip, we require a contact name & number for emergencies.
Restrooms?
There is a restroom on the bus.
Wifi on the bus?
YES! There are wifi and charging stations on the bus.
Where do I park?
You are welcome to leave your car in the parking lot of Williamsburg Crossing Shopping Center, but please know you do so at your own risk. If you do leave your car, please park near where the bus is picking up.
How packed will the bus be?
The bus will not be at full capacity. There will be some room for people to stretch out in.
Will I have to wear a mask on the bus?
Right now, masks are a requirement to ride the bus. That could change closer to the event. Our recommendation is to plan for masking.
What if Rhinebeck cancels the event?
We will provide full refunds in the case of an in-person event cancellation.
What if I'm uncomfortable with all that walking?
There are scooters for rent at the bus entrance.
