Dye Studio Assistant

The Flying Needles/Robin’s Promise Yarn Co. is searching for a Dye Studio Assistant. If you need a job that isn’t your typical 9-5 and uses creativity then this job may be for you. 

A successful candidate must: 
Be physically able to lift 100lbs, stand on your feet for long periods of time and have physical endurance to withstand cold temperatures and well as extreme heat.
Be thorough and able to pay attention to detail 
Be able to follow detailed directions
Be dependable and reliable
Work well with others
Have an ability to operate and control equipment
Be able to be around and use dye chemicals without reaction
Be able to wear safety clothing, including gloves

Day-to-day duties may include:
Prepping yarn 
Mixing batches of dye
Rinsing wet, heavy yarn
Resetting the studio for the dyeing process
Taking directions

Travel to fiber festivals is possible

Work days are generally Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until all positions are filled.
