An advanced cabled sweater class and just in time for you to FINISH BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS! This gorgeous cabled Women’s Jacket by Plymouth Yarn Company has garnered tons of comments by our customers! To help the beginner with a sweater and cables, here is the class! Guest Instructor and Cable Queen Janice Feld is offering this class from 1 to 3 p.m. on Tuesdays, Sept. 19, Oct. 3, 17 & Nov. 7.**

Class Level: Intermediate
Skills required: You must have completed the first cable scarf or bring in your swatch of a cable, be able to cast on, knit, purl, cable and read a knitting chart
What you will learn: Importance of gauge, advanced cabling, how to make button holes, edging and picking up stitches
Materials: 1260 to 1680 yards (depending on chest size) worsted weight yarn WOUND, size 8 needles, straight or circular (your preference), a cable needle, stitch markers, tape measure, gauge guide, tapestry needle for yarn tails and 2 buttons
Pattern: Plymouth Cabled Women’s Jacket, $6 Ravelry pattern not included in class price
Homework: Knit a 4” x 4” swatch (stockinette stitch – knit on right side & purl on wrong side) with your needles & yarn and confirm gauge prior to 1st class, confirm gauge is correct (we are happy to help you with this). Cast on for your size and work in moss stitching for 12 rows. Continue in stockinette stitch until 13 (13.5, or 14)” with WS facing. Knit 1 row.**
Cost: $120 with 24-hour advance reservation / $150 walk-in
**Notes: You will be writing on your pattern. Please bring a copy if you don’t want to mark your original. Shop samples are knitted in Ultra Alpaca and Galway. This class does have homework prior to its beginning. For those who do not reach the point of where you are supposed to start, bring practice worsted weight yarn to learn the technique of the first class.
