Have you wanted to do Fair Isle color work but you felt too intimidated? THEN THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!! Color Queen Elizabeth Gorny will walk you through color work techniques with this warm & slouchy hat! This is an easy knitting project in the round with a bit of color work for interest. (We recommend you take this class prior to taking the Willard Fair Isle Pullover Sweater.) This class is from 10:30 am to 12:30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sept. 23 & Sept. 30.

Class Level: Intermediate
Skills required: Knit, purl, cast on & bind off
What you will learn: Importance of gauge, magic loop, color work, intro to chart reading
Materials: Worsted weight yarn 140 yds main color, contrast colors 12 yds per repeat, (we recommend Berroco Ultra Wool Superwash); US 7 (4.5mm) circular 40”
Pattern: Keep It Simple Hat, FREE Ravelry pattern
Homework: Knit a 4” x 4” swatch (stockinette stitch – knit on right side & purl on wrong side) with your needles & yarn and confirm gauge (20 sts = 4″ in stockinette) prior to 1st class, confirm gauge is correct (we are happy to help you with this)**
