Our friends at Done Roving Yarns finally tempted us with the complexity of loops, cables and lacy garter stitches. Throw in sexy gradient yarn kits and we can barely stand ourselves! So we’re sharing the love! Guest Instructor and S&B knit night ringleader MaryAnne Teal will lead you in Jen Lucas’s Milton Shawl 2-session class from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Thursdays, March 2 & 23 and an option of April 6 if MaryAnne deems it necessary.

Class Level: Adventurous Intermediate
Skills required: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl, k2tog, yarn over & ssk
What you will learn: Reading complex lace charts, using a lifeline, cabling without a cable needle, knitted-on cable edging & blocking lace
Materials: 550-600 yards fingering weight yarn (shop sample done in Done Roving 600 yd gradient kit), size 5 circular needle 24”-length, cable needle, stitch marker, tapestry needle, optional highlighter tape to keep your place on pattern chart, blocking supplies (to be discussed)
