All you cell phone addicts – THIS CLASS & PROJECT are for YOU! These fingerless Grey Island Mitts by Laura Aylor will leave your fingers free but will keep your hands warm! Guest Instructor and S&B knit night ringleader MaryAnne Teal will lead this 3-session class from 1 to 3 p.m. (last session 1 to 2 p.m. for finishing) Thursdays, Jan. 12, 19 & 26.

Class Level: Intermediate
Skills required: Must be able to cast on via a long-tail method, knit, purl and bind off
What you will learn: Increases via M1 and kfb, decreases via k2tog and SSK, forming a thumb, and knitting in the round on magic loop
Materials: 110 yards of worsted weight yarn (shop sample was knit in Encore Worsted), 2 sets of 32” or 40” circular needles size 6 (MaryAnne suggests one of each), a few stitch markers and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends
