You’ve learned to knit, now learn how to CABLE! This first cabled scarf was designed by Yarnista Janice Feld with the intent to teach our beginners the basic cable (This class is a prerequisite to either the Cabled Jacket or the Cabled Shawl). This 2-session class will be held 10:30 am to 12:30 pm Saturday, Nov. 4 and then again 10:30 to 11:30 am Saturday, Nov. 18. The first session is two hours; the second is one-hour for troubleshooting.

Skills required: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl & bind off
What you will learn: Cabling
Materials: 215 yds worsted yarn (sugg’d Ultra Alpaca) & size 7 needles, straight or circular, your preference
Pattern: First Cabled Scarf by Janice Feld, FREE with class
HOMEWORK: Knit a 4” x 4” swatch (stockinette stitch – knit on knit side & purl on purl side) with your needles & yarn and bring swatch to 1st class to confirm gauge
