What you will learn: Read a lace pattern & chart, basics of lace knitting, increasing and decreasing
Materials: 882 yards of DK or Sport Weight yarn, US size 3 needles (or size to accomplish gauge), two stitch markers
Pattern: Etched Rio Wrap by Sarah Smuland, $9 on Ravelry or $10 printed
HOMEWORK: Knit a 4” x 4” swatch (stockinette stitch – knit on knit side & purl on purl side) with your needles & yarn and bring swatch to 1st class to confirm gauge of 22 stitches and 29 rows = 4 inches
