WELCOME TO OUR Beginner’s Series. Meet the Coffee Cup Cozy – the perfect project for a beginning knitter to take their skills to the next level. A perfect design for beginning knitters, this cozy uses almost entirely knits and purls and teaches you how to create BUTTON HOLES without fear! This is also a great knit for bazaars and craft shows and can use up your scraps of washable worsted yarn. This 1-session class will be led by Yarnista & Owner Susan Dickerson and will be held:
- 3 to 5 pm Saturday, April 21
- 3 to 5 pm Saturday, May 19
- 1 to 3 pm Friday, June 8

Class Level: Beginning
Skills required: You must be able to cast on, knit, purl & bind off
What you will learn: Consistent tension, moving between knits & purls, button holes
Materials: 22-24 yds washable worsted yarn (sugg’d Plymouth Merino Superwash) & size 7 needles, straight or circular, your preference
Pattern: Coffee Cup Cozy, $1.99 Ravelry download or $2.99 printed pattern
HOMEWORK: Knit a 4” x 4” swatch (stockinette stitch – knit on knit side & purl on purl side) with your needles & yarn and bring swatch to 1st class to confirm gauge
