Do you want to learn the basics of making a sweater without all the sweat equity of a full-blown adult-sized sweater? Or do you have a cutie pie you just HAVE TO whip up a sweater for? If either is true, this is the perfect class for you! Learn the basics of a knitted top-down sweater construction with minimal seaming & a raglan sleeve – just mini-sized. And good GLORY do we have some sweet yarns for the bambino in your life! Yarnista & Owner Susan Dickerson will lead this 2-session class from 1 to 3 pm Thursdays, April 6 & 20.

Class Level: Beginner
Skills required: Long tail cast on, knit, purl
What you will learn: Kf/b, YO, K2Tog, knitting in the round, basic sweater construction, joining yarns
Materials: 522 yards of DK yarn (we recommend any Dreambaby or Dreambaby Paintpot), US size 4 and 6 circular needles with 16” cables, US size 6 circular needle with 24” cable, stitch markers, tapestry needle for weaving ends, knit gauge checker
Pattern: Plymouth’s 2833 Pullover, included in class price.

**Notes for the Beginning Baby Sweater: You will be writing on your pattern. Please bring a copy if you don’t want to mark your original. You will need to confirm your gauge prior to class. Please purchase your yarn in advance of the class and knit a 4” by 4” swatch with the US 6 needles and bring to class. Use your gauge checker to confirm you are knitting at 5 ½ stitches per inch. If you need assistance with checking your gauge, please come by the shop.
