We’re OPEN & here to help
Thank you so much for your continued support during this challenging time, and thank you for being so patient with us as we lean in to our re-opening! After a successful week last week, we still received calls from you – our faithful customers – as to when you could come in the shop. That time is NOW!
The shop is opening for regular hours to 10 people at a time – 10 am to 5 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Hours for Wednesday are from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
If there is more than one person in your party, all of those in your party count toward how many can be in the shop at one time. If you arrive and we have reached our capacity in the shop, please wait outside until it is your turn to shop. You can knock on the door to let us know you are here.
Anyone entering the shop must wear a face covering and must use hand sanitizer upon entry into the shop.
We are headed to the NY Sheep & Wool Festival
We had such a great time at Rhinebeck 2019, that we’re going back for Rhinebeck 2020. Sign up for our email to find out all the details!
The Flying Needles invites you to pack your bags and join us for a ROADTRIP to the US’s largest Fiber Festival… Rhinebeck! 2020’s dates are Friday Oct. 16 through Sunday Oct. 18.
From Oct. 16-18, we are headed via charter bus to upper New York for the Sheep & Wool Festival. With almost 300 vendors last year, this festival is attended by almost 35,000 people. And YOU are invited!
Early Bird registration is going on NOW through Jan. 31. After that, prices go up! Don’t miss out on the early savings. Call us at (757) 345-3655.
We offer 5% discounts to military to honor their service, to students because they are just dang broke and to wives of Sports Information Directors because the owner, Susan, just knows. ‘Nuff said.
We believe in providing as clean an earth as possible for generations to come. That’s why at The Flying Needles yarn shop, if you can do without a bag or if you bring your own, you will be entered into our monthly $25 gift certificate drawing! Or if you bring your Flying Needles paper bag back, you will be entered into that drawing AGAIN!
